The Mirena coil is a small plastic T intrauterine device in the form that is increasingly used to treat women with endometriosis. It contains a progestin (progesterone-like substance) in the uterus for a period of 5 years be released. It is sometimes referred to as generic intrauterine system levongorgestrel or LNG-IUS known

In the longest trial clinics reported to date, women had adverse reactions are relatively rare and most adverse events were mild. Among the women who had their coil removed because of side effects, most because of irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, or weight gain, and most of them in the first 12 months.

Irregular bleeding
Adverse events commonly Mirena is irregular vaginal bleeding, including irregular bleeding, frequent spotting or light bleeding between periods, heavy bleeding, and longer or shorter. However, these problems usually disappear after 3-6 months

When the coil is present, should not feel able to, and it is unlikely that your sexual partner of this notice will beRelations ring

Progesterone-related symptoms
The progestin-related side effects include acne, decreased libido, headache, abdominal pain, back pain, nausea, menstrual pain, sweating, chest pain, fluid retention and weight gain

Ovarian cysts
Women who have Mirena coil develop more benign ovarian cysts "simple". The most common symptom of a simple cyst is abdominal pain which can not be solved with simple analgesics. These cysts usually disappear without treatment within 2-3 months.

What's sysptoms particularly depression, of course, are the symptoms caused by hormonal disturbances.
